Sea Angling

We offer sea Angling tours on small icelandic fishing boats in beautiful Eyjafjörður bay, operating from Hauganes. We provide the fishing equipment and our captains are highly experienced in the local waters and know where to catch the cod. We can pack, freeze, and ship your fish home to you.

Factory Tour

The history of Ektafiskur in Hauganes reaches back five generations and is woven into the history of fish processing in Iceland. Our tour guide tells you everthing about it. Ektafiskur makes bacalao the traditional way, like our great- great grandfather tought us. Brave ones can try to enter The Rotten Shark Club of Hauganes by tasting our fermented shark.

Baccalá Bar

A picturesque restaurant in the heart of Hauganes Harbor. The menu offers a variety of local icelandic dishes as well as traditional ones. The cook can take your Sea Angling catch and make a special dinner for you and your group to dine on the viking ship.

Beach Baths

Hot tubs on the black beach right next to the Atlantic ocean. The beach is shallow far out in the creek so on hot summer days the ocean gets a little bit warmer than you’ll usually find around Iclenad.

Relax after an exciting Sea Angling trip while your catch is being cooked at the restaurant!

Family run company

Three generations in the family company founded in 1940 welcome you in Haugans.
